Who I Am

Hello! I'm Lauren Grierson, thanks for dropping by!

Children's History Presenter, Producer and Storyteller, I've been creating fun and engaging approaches to learning  in schools, cultural organisations and many of the UK’s top museums and historic sites for over 8 years!

I can also be found producing and presenting a series of kids history documentaries for the online children's history channel, Lauren Learns History.

Named Channel of the Week by The Week Junior Magazine just five months into the series, the channel is filmed and produced in collaboration with museums, historians and actors all over the UK!  Covering everything from the Tudors to the First World War we release new episodes every other Thursday at 4pm during term time, so head on over and SUBSCRIBE to join my voyage of discovery!

My client list includes:

Kew Gardens

Historic Royal Palaces

Museum of London

Museum of London Docklands

Royal Academy of Arts

London Transport Museum

National Trust

Knebworth House

London Museum of Water and Steam

Orleans House Gallery

Strawberry Hill House

Although history is my passion and forte, I have been fortunate enough to work on very varied projects, from STEM to Shakespeare and everything in between! I love finding quirky and creative approaches to presenting stories and ultimately creating content that is both entertaining and educational, I find it extremely rewarding.

And on a more personal note, I also love tea (like REALLY love tea) and dislike peanut butter with a passion (yes, really, I can't stand it). I am also a wife to my lovely husband Ian, mum to my three year old son, Ernie and live with two exceptionally naughty but lovable house rabbits, called Marmalade and Cottontail.

"It was a pleasure to work with The Story Box Producers on a series of five short films about the history of Knebworth House. The team were very responsive to our original brief and took great care with the historical details. They provided music and illustrations to enhance the viewer experience and were happy to make changes to the films when we requested them. We were delighted with the final products."

What I Do

My sessions build confidence, educate, entertain and encourage creative thinking and teamwork. Play lies at the heart of all my sessions and is used as a tool to enable the children to discover and explore their imagination. You can see some of my past digital and live projects using the links below or keep scrolling to read more about what I can offer.

Live Interactive Storytelling

I tell stories for both children and adults. So, whether it is an interactive adventure for children or a guided tour or performance for adults, I will work with you to create a bespoke session to fit your specific requirements.  I can produce sessions of any length or frequency and source props and materials, including, if you wish, craft activities alongside.

Presenting Live and Online

Whether you are looking for a bespoke series or a one-off video to engage your online audience, I can work alongside your digital team as a presenter and writer. I can also a offer a full videography package to include filming and editing. Please contact me for more information.

Live Streamed Storytelling

Whether you have a virtual tour you would like delivered or a storytelling session you wish participants to be able to interact in, I can offer one off or regular sessions over zoom.

Drama and Storytelling Clubs

I can work with your school or nursery to provide a regular weekly drama or storytelling club. My clubs are not limited to set themes as I work with each individual school to personally cater my clubs to suit your needs.

"I was already sold on Lauren’s work ethic, passion and professionalism but this further evidenced to me how much she cares about what she is producing and will take the time to make sure she gets it just right. I was further surprised to discover that digital storytelling is something new to Lauren, self- taught during lockdown. She is clearly adaptable and able rise to a challenge. The final product was delivered seamlessly, with very positive feedback given post premiere. We reached over 2K viewers and numerous shares, which is more than I could have hoped for as a small library with a small number of followers – where value for money for us is vital."
